Terms of Use.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of nucleus.education, including the NUCLEUS Mentor demo at nucleus.education/demo/ (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Nucleus Learning, Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation ("Nucleus," "we," "us," "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Nucleus is building a long-horizon educational system for homeschool families. This website is currently a public-facing preview, a founder round, and a demo of the Mentor component. The Mentor demo is a conversational interface that lets a parent sample what chatting with the NUCLEUS Mentor would feel like for a child at one of three life stages. The demo is not the final product. The demo does not carry memory from one session to the next. The demo is a sample, not a service.
2. Who can use it
The Service is intended for use by adults (18 and older) and by minors who are supervised by a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 18, please have a parent with you. If you are a parent and your child uses the demo without your supervision, we rely on you to have had the age-appropriate conversation with them first.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and email secure. You are responsible for what happens under your email.
3. Acceptable use
When you use the Service, you agree that you will not:
- attempt to bypass, disable, or defeat the safety measures of the Mentor, including by jailbreaking, prompt injection, role-swap manipulation, or any other technique whose purpose is to coerce the Mentor into behaving outside its stated charter;
- use the Service to produce content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, violent, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful;
- attempt to use the Service to deceive, harm, defraud, or manipulate any person, including any minor;
- attempt to harvest other users' information, reverse-engineer the system prompts, scrape the interface, or interfere with the Service's operation;
- use automated agents, scripts, or bots to access the Service except through clearly documented interfaces;
- misrepresent your age, your relationship to a minor using the Service, or your identity.
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access for any user who violates these rules, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
4. The demo is not advice
The Mentor demo is an educational and conversational preview. It is not medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, therapy, or counseling. It is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you or your child are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact local emergency services. In the United States, 988 is the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. For suspected child abuse in the United States, contact Childhelp at 1-800-422-4453.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including all text, graphics, design, and code (other than your own inputs), is the property of Nucleus Learning, Inc., or its licensors, and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
You retain ownership of any content you enter into the Mentor demo. By entering content, you grant Nucleus a limited license to process and log that content solely for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice: rate-limiting, safety review, product improvement during this beta, and any other purpose you have explicitly consented to.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nucleus disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Mentor's responses will be accurate, complete, safe, reliable, or appropriate for any specific purpose. The Mentor is built on an underlying AI model and, like all AI systems, it can make mistakes, misremember facts, and produce outputs that no one intended. Please treat its outputs as one input to your own judgment, not as authoritative answers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nucleus and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to one hundred United States dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid Nucleus in the last twelve months, whichever is greater.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nucleus and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
9. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time. We may also revise these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or on the Service. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
